In this paper, we introduce a simple framework for colon segmentation. The proposed framework consists of two steps: 1) threshold for rough removal of the opacified liquid, and 2) adaptive level sets method with manual initialization for colon segmentation. In our work, we classify the colon tissue as the foreground and all others as the background. In this bi-model system, the segmentation partitions the image into different regions, and each region belongs to a certain class.
