what's the diffrence of hurricane and tornado and cyclone

虽说都有飓风之意, 但hurricane尤指从西印度群岛,或其他“近海地区”所形成的的“大规模的”旋风，

tornado 一般只指开阔”陆地上“形成的”龙卷风“，规模一般比hurrican 小。

cyclone， 气旋，主要形容一种“天气变化”的过程。
A tropical cyclone brought heavy rain to the country last week.
上周一股热带气旋使该国受到暴雨袭击。
