一个9岁的男孩非常喜欢鸽子，每天早晨他都要到广场去喂鸽子。渐渐地，那些鸽子和小男孩熟悉了，它们会毫无顾忌地飞落到小男孩脚下，甚至飞到他肩膀上和手掌上。
有一天， 美术老师对小男孩说：“你能带一只鸽子到课堂上来吗?我们要学画鸽子。”小男孩爽快地答应了，他带回了一只洁白的小鸽子。
然而当小男孩将那只鸽子放飞到广场时，那一群鸽子开始用惊惧的眼神盯着他，他一走近任何一只鸽子，所有的鸽子都会飞走。从此，再也没有鸽子愿意飞到他身边了。
只是一次背弃，小男孩便失去了一群亲密的朋友，这是多么痛心呀，人与人之间何尝不是如此呢，无论友情和爱情，都容不下一点欺骗，一次背弃便会造成一条难以弥补的鸿沟。相互间的信任是无价的，信任的破坏是一刹那的事情，建立起信任却需要花费更大的力气去完成。信任，与金钱无关，却与一个人的操行相连。
