在英语从综合性语言转变成为分析性语言的过程中有两种趋势推动了英语的发展：一种趋势使英语丰富，典雅；另一种趋势使英语保持纯洁，朴素。第一种趋势防止英语营养不足，第二种趋势避免英语消化不良。就在这两种力量相互配合，相互作用之下，英语成长起来了。
There are two trends push the deveploment of English, which has changed from integrated language into analiysed language: one makes English more rich and elegant, while the other keeps its pure and simple. The former one prevent English from lack of nutrition and the latter one avoids it in the indigestion. In these two powers cooperating and interacting, English was growing up.
