在本设计中污水处理工艺通过氧化沟工艺和传统活性污泥法以及交替式生物反应池工艺的比较，由于氧化沟工艺较传统活性污泥法具有处理流程简单，操作管理方便；出水水质好，工艺可靠性强等特点，较交替式生物反应池工艺又具有工程投资低、出水水质稳定、工程建设经验丰富等特点，因此采用氧化沟工艺。而污泥处理工艺中污泥浓缩工艺通过比较重力浓缩和机械浓缩两种方案，由于机械浓缩方案具有总投资低，对周围环境影响较小特点，因此采用机械浓缩方案。
本设计的流程为污水经水泵提升后通过细格栅和曝气沉砂池、初沉池后进入Carrousel氧化沟反应系统，去除污水中的有机污染物，经二沉池泥水分离，最终由紫外线消毒排入吴淞江，出水达到国家一级B标准。污水处理过程中产生的污泥经机械浓缩、脱水后送至园区污水污泥处理处置中心最终处置。
