摘要：在中华民族不断向更高文明跃进的今天，且在经济全球化的背景下，当我们面对伴随巨大物质进步而来的同样巨大的物质私欲，以及由此产生的社会道德危机时，重温孔子似乎已成历史陈迹的《论语》，会令人惊奇地发现，书中那些语录式的道德格言仍然具有震撼人心的力量。而如何对优秀的传统文化进行合理扬弃也就显得十分重要。本文力求把握孔子义利观的本真精神，以《论语》为主要依据，通过对《论语》中孔子义利思想的梳理，来对孔子的义利观进行客观的粗浅探讨：孔子的义利思想是在特殊的土壤中孕育形成的，且在其以后发展的历史进程中也发生了一些蜕变。孔子义利观的内容主要包括：重义，但不否定利，承认、肯定人们求利的合理性；强调取利的合“义”性，鼓励人们追求合“义”之利；施利于民；义利统一，二者矛盾时，舍生取义，深明大义。而这些思想对于我们当前树立符合时代和社会发展要求的社会主义新义利观，促进社会主义“两个文明”协调发展，促进社会主义市场经济向着正确健康方向发展等具有深刻的现实意义。
