Neither you nor i am a student.
Neither i nor you are a student.

There is an apple and some oranges on the table.
There are some oranges and an apple on the table

就近原则

There is one table and six chairs in this room.
靠近系动词Be的是table，而table又是单数，因此Be也应该用单数形式is。
