摘要：近年来，随着社会物流需求的不断增大，我国物流业已从起步阶段进入快速发展阶段。与此同时，一些典型的管理问题逐渐显露出来，企业物流成本管理就是其中一个重要的位置，降低物流成本与提高物流服务水平构成了企业物流管理最基本的课题。物流成本管理、物流成本相关理论学说都说明了物流成本问题是物流管理初期人们关心的主要问题。
企业在进行物流成本管理时，首先要明确管理目的，有的放矢。一般情况下，企业物流成本管理的出发点是：
1.通过掌握物流成本现状，发现企业物流中存在的主要问题
2.对各个物流相关部门进行比较和评价
3.依据物流成本计算结果，制定物流规划，确立物流管理战略
4.通过物流成本管理，强化总体物流成本管理
物流成本管理的意义在于通过对物流成本的有效把握，利用物流要素之间的效益背反关系，科学、合理地组织物流活动，加强对物流活动过程中费用支出的有效控制，降低物流活动中的物化劳动和活劳动的消耗，从而达到降低物流总成本，提高企业和社会经济经济效益的目的。
