[摘要]当代大学生是跨世纪的人才，是开创21世纪大业和进一步振兴中华的主力军，社会对大学生的整体素质提出了更高的要求。特别是随着我国高等教育规模的不断扩大，大学生被认为是一个特殊的消费群体，也是一个较大的消费群体，其消费具有自身的特点。一方面，有着旺盛的消费需求，另一方面，却未获得经济上的独立，其花费基本靠家庭支付，但随着家庭条件的不断改善，当代大学生的消费现状有了新的明显变化。文章通过调查研究，根据当前大学生的消费状况，揭示出当代大学生消费的新特点及其存在的一系列问题，通过分析问题产生的原因，提出引导大学生合理消费的建议。因此正确的把握当前大学生消费行为和消费心理,对于我们加强和改进大学生的思想政治教育将起到重要的作用。
