随着技术水平的提高和单片机的广泛应用，现在酒店中的电视机、空调、灯等家电的都广泛采用基于单片机来控制的红外遥控系统。 本设计是把红外线技术和单片机相结合，做出的红外集控器，实现各种功能。其中包括灯的开关，灯的调光，空调的开关、温控等功能，实现了酒店红外集控的功能。对于灯的控制，是把红外线接收器的IR脚接到单片机的P1.7脚。当有按键按下时，发射器发出信号，红外接收头接收到发射器的信号，把信号传递给单片机，通过单片机进行译码，从而实现各种键的功能。而在调光中运用到了过零检测技术和可控硅，通过检测到的零点，单片机延时触发可控的导通和关断，从而实现了降压的作用。而在空调的温控中用到了555多谐震荡电路和热敏电阻，由热敏电阻感受温度的高低，输出电阻的变化量，555多谐震荡电路将测量到电阻变化量转换为脉冲宽度的变化，通过单片机定时测量出脉冲宽度，由脉冲宽度表即可查出被侧温度。本设计在各方面都有应用，特别是在酒店等各种智能化楼宇中的应用，这也标志着楼宇自动化在不断的发展。
