摘要
随着教育技术的发展，当前的教育改革也指向了新的学习方式和教学方式。其中自主学习是教育改革所力推的学习方式之一。本文主要研究了博客（BLOG）这一现代教育技术在英语自主学习中的应用问题。
在学生英语学习过程中，其学习基础、学习方式、教师的教学方式以及师生间、学生与学生间缺乏交流等因素严重地影响了学生的学习兴趣及学习效果。博客（BLOG）应用于英语教学与学习可改善上述影响学生学习的因素，它能够扩大学生获取知识的范围，增强师生间、学生与学生间的交流，提高学生学习英语的信心和兴趣，提高学生的学习效果。
建构主义学习理论、有意义学习理论、协作学习与自主学习理论是着手进行本研究的理论基础。除了博客（BLOG）以外，在应用设计中还要采用聚合服务及其阅读器、标签、社会化标签、引用通告等技术和工具。
为了使教师和学生更好的了解博客的应用优势，本文详细讨论了博客应用于英语教学和学习的作用和优点。本文构建了一个由教师-教师，教师-学生和学生-学生三部分构成的英语自主学习模式，这个模式展示了如何将博客应用于实际英语教学与学习当中。作者认为应用此模式能给英语教师和学生提供一个发表文章和想法、知识管理、互相交流和知识共享的空间,它能有效地促使学生自主地参与到英语自主学习中去。此外，本文还以个案说明此模式在英语课程中的应用。
