现代元素是在一定的条件下 ,人们在思想和行为上的追求。这些追求是些新的理念、新的流行趋势及新的创造。现代元素在包装中有着数字性、时尚性、可持续性三个特性。在信息时代，CD 产品包装的需求呈现多元化的趋势，好的CD封套设计能够代表产品特点和产品品位，我的作品就以现代元素为基础 ,构建新的包装形式 ,达到与现代审美观念和生活要求的一致性 ,体现出产品的独特个性 ,从而产生良好的市场效应 ,创造最大的利润。
毕业设计我选的是时尚杂志CD封套设计，《时尚时间》是时尚钟表设计及传播艺术设计思想、现代生活信息的时尚前沿杂志。在设计中通过对时尚杂志的特点、定位分析，我把现代元素的数字性、时尚性、可持续性运用到CD封套的设计中去。在图案上运用时间为主题的抽象装饰图案；色彩上主要以黑、白为主要搭配，点缀蓝、绿、橙、红、黄等其它颜色，使设计更加时尚；材料上以环保可回收的纸、木头、铁、塑料为主,打造可持续性包装。
