吉林三水厂的扩建工程才用了最先进的水处理工艺，同时也是目前采用的最多的处理工艺，包括了混合、絮凝、沉淀、过滤、加药、加氯。不仅工艺是最先进的，选用的设备也是先进的，可以满足水处理的要求。
这次的扩建可以满足吉林市今后很长一段时间内的供水问题，今后吉林人民不再问水的问题而担忧。
