The remainder of the instruments reviewed for families are the Parental Strengths and Needs Inventorv (Strom & Coolege, 1987), the Parent-Adolescent Communication Scale (Olson, McCubbin, Barnes, Larsen, Muxen, & Wilson, 1982), the Parent Perception Inventory
