多媒体辅助教学是一种新型现代化教学方式，也是未来世界教育技术的新趋向，因此多媒体技术被
广泛的运用到中学英语课堂教学中，使用多媒体可以激发学生的学习兴趣，加大课容量，让学生学习英语的方式多样化，而且多媒体讲解知识点更清晰,且能合理体现交际语言原则。但使用多媒体教学也存在着一些问题，学生容易分散注意力，不认真做笔记，而且课堂容量增大后，学生可能应付不了。本人通过实践和探索，总结了多媒体辅助中学英语课堂教学的优势与弊端，并探索出一些解决的办法，使教师和学生能正确、辩证地对待多媒体辅助英语课堂教学这一问题，用其所长，避其所短，使多媒体技术更好地为提高教学质量服务。
