Synthesis and Properties of Polyacrylic Super Water Absorbent

A polyacrylic super water absorbent was synthesised by acrylic acid monomers through the solution polymerization initiated by ammonium persulfate and sodium bisulfite, and in the presence of
polyethylene glycol di-acrylate as crosslinker. This article also discussed the swelling property of the water absorbent in deionized water, and the factors affecting the synthetic reaction of polyacrylic water absorbents.
