信息技术自香农提出信息论开始就有了飞速的发展。从模拟到数字，从固定到移动，很多技都发生着很大的变化。在移动通信技术中2G到3G的转换已经悄悄走进了我们的生活。随着IP技术的不断更新移动网络技术也在随之而改变，在H.264和MPEG-4等压缩编码技术的出现使通信变得更加方便、准确、及时。
流媒体技术是通过网络能在移动终端进行数据流传输的一种形式，其应用非常广泛包括很多的实时传输。在网络传输方面全面支持国际标准的RTP/RTCP协议，结合独创的多项网络传输同步与抖动技术，协议智能协商(SmartTalk)技术，保证了系统在各种网络环境下稳定、高效地运行。
BREW（Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless，无线二进制运行环境），它提供一个高效、低成本、可扩展和熟悉的应用程序执行环境（AEE），着重开发可无缝植入任何实际手持设备的应用程序。本课题采用的就是BREW的平台来设计开发的
