信息化是人类社会继农业化、工业化之后的社会发展新阶段。在信息化社会中，人类生存的一切领域都以信息的获取、加工、传递和分配为基础，因此，要对信息化所引发的哲学问题进行理论探讨，首先面临的就是信息定位问题，即信息的哲学本质问题。信息是什么？是物质？还是意识？这是马克思主义哲学在信息时代遇到的新课题，也是信息化给马克思主义哲学本体论研究提出的最直接的挑战。本文通过对信息与物质、信息与意识辩证关系的考察，揭示出信息是物质普遍属性的哲学本质，由此丰富了物质属性的哲学内涵。

Informationization period is a new one after agriculturalization and industrialization in human society.All fields have the accessing,processing,transmission and allocation of information as their base.Therefore,the first question that we are faced with is the location of information, which is the informations's essential characteristics of philosophy.What is information? Is it matter or consciousness?This is not only a new issue for Marxist philosophy in information period,but also a direct challenge for ontology study of Marxist philosophy.According to the relationship inspection of information vs matter,information vs consciousness, this thesis reveals that information is the essential philosophy of matter's universality therefore to inrich the philosophy containment of matter property for information.
