该信号发生器的整个系统以SPCE06lA单片机为系统的核心，直接由它计算生成信号采样数据，再通过将数据送入SPCE06lA单片机内部集成的DAC转换为模拟信号。最后，该信号经过滤波放大后输出。在信号输出过程中，本系统可以通过键盘来实现波形的切换及其对幅度和频率的调整。其幅度和频率值通过数码管来显示。该系统的硬件电路比较简单，系统功能主要靠软件来实现。
